Melkboomsdrift Guesthouse



Melkboomsdrift Guest House is situated on a working winefarm in the hot Olifant’s River valley between Vredendal (20 km) and Lutzville (10 km). The guest house is located about 40km from the N7 and is an ideal stop-over on a journey from Cape Town to Namibia.


The stylish Melkboomsdrift Guest House on the banks of the Olifant’s River is a restored farmhouse built in circa 1820. Enjoy a glass of local red wine on the terrace or in the restaurant and enjoy the views over the vineyards. There are 13 rooms, a restaurant and pool.


The restaurant with beautiful views over the landscape can cater for functions of up to 20 guests. There is a small pool and large gardens and secure parking on-site. Children are welcome and a babysitter can be arranged.


Melkboomsdrift has 13 en-suite rooms stylishly decorated with pure cotton linen. Three units are equipped for self-catering. All rooms have fans, heating, TV’s, tea/coffee making facilities with homebaked rusks and farm milk.
