Nunda Safari Lodge

The Nunda River Lodge is situated in the Caprivi Strip on the banks of the Kavango River in Namibia. The lodge is about 2 km from Popa Falls and is a good base to explore the Caprivi region, Mahango National Park and the Victoria Falls.

The small Nunda River Lodge is a paradise for bird lovers, but wildlife from Mahango National Park and Bwabwata National Park regularly visit. The lodge can sleep 20 guests and has a campsite, restaurant and pool.

The restaurant, bar, curio shop, lounge and reception area is set in the open thatched lapa. The large wooden deck is perfect for bird watching and sundowners and the beautiful pool is set among trees in the gardens next to the river. The lodge consists of seven luxury tents and three chalets. All units have a river view and there are eight camping sites.

The Meru-style tents (on wooden platforms) and chalets are built under large shady trees with views of the river. All the units have covered verandas and en-suite bathrooms. Ask for a chalet on the river’s edge and fall asleep to the sound of hippos grazing on the lawn. The campsites each have a table, electricity point and a tap.
