The Thamalakane River Lodge is located about 20 km from the centre of Maun, on the road to Moremi Game Reserve. The lodge is situated on the Thamalakane River.
The restaurant, pool and chalets have views of the River Thamalakane. The chalets are built of stone and set in gardens under shady trees, some with a private splash pool. The lodge is an ideal base for trips to the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve.
The central area consists of an thatch-roofed restaurant overlooking the river and a communal swimming pool. The bar is crafted from local wood. Guests overnight in a choice of 18 chalets. The lodge can book day trips and arrange transfers and the restaurant receives day visitors.
The standard chalets, family chalets and honeymoon suites all have private bathrooms and huge glass sliding doors leading onto a small veranda overlooking the river. The newer chalets have a splash pool. All chalets feature mosquito nets, ceiling fans and coffee and tea making facilities. There is a campsite with shared ablution facilities.
